Correction and Retraction Policy

The same corrections and retractions policy applies to all Generate Digital Publishing journals. We differentiate between addenda, errata, corrigenda, and retractions.

Addenda

If the authors inadvertently omit important information from the original publication, the original article can be amended with an Addendum explaining the omitted results. The Addendum will be published in the current issue of the journal, with page numbers added. In addition, the original publication will have a hyperlink to the Addendum.

Errata

Errata will be used if there is a significant error. A significant error is considered to be one that affects the scientific record, the scientific integrity of the article, the reputation of the authors, or of the journal. Significant errors include omissions such as an author's failure to correct factual evidence within the deadline set by the journal and in accordance with journal policy. All errors are linked to the corrected version of the article.

Corrigenda

A corrigendum is a notification of a significant error made by the authors of the article. All corrigenda are approved by the editors of the journal. All corrigenda are linked to the version of the article that they correct.

Retractions

The editor will make a retraction if there is severe plagiarism, multiple publications, data fabrication, unreliable or incorrect results, and other harmful practices. In this case, a notice of retraction will be announced. This notice will be published online and include the title, authors, reason for retraction, and who retracted it. The next print edition will publish this article and be included in the table of contents of the edition. A statement signed by the author must be sent to the editorial office before publishing the retraction notice.
