Digital Archiving Policy

Journal of Banks and Financial Institutions (JBFI) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published scholarly content. To achieve this, JBFI utilizes the LOCKSS system as its digital archiving solution. This can be seen at Publisher Manifest.

LOCKSS is a decentralized preservation network that enables participating libraries to collect, preserve, and provide access to the journal’s content, ensuring its security and durability over time. Through this system, JBFI ensures that multiple copies of its published articles are stored across a distributed network of libraries worldwide. This approach safeguards the journal’s content against data loss, technical failures, or unforeseen events. In the event that the journal website becomes unavailable, the archived content will remain accessible through the LOCKSS network, thereby maintaining continuous access for the academic community. This digital preservation strategy reflects JBFI’s commitment to supporting open access, maintaining scholarly integrity, and ensuring that its published research remains permanently available to readers, researchers, and institutions.
