JHR: Journal of Halal Review provides a venue for high-quality manuscripts dealing with scientific and religious aspects of halal research and promoting universal values. The editorial board encourages manuscripts that are international in scope, and compiles academic and research articles, review articles, conference reports, and investigates contemporary issues within its scope. JHR is published by the publishing company "Generate Digital Publishing". JHR starts publishing in 2024.
JHR is an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available at no cost to the user or their institution. The scope includes empirical and theoretical articles related to halal lifestyle issues which are no longer limited to Muslims and specific religions. As a result, halal goods and services offer huge economic potential in Indonesia, which has the largest Muslim population in the world. However, the halal industry must first find innovative technologies and solutions to various problems. Areas of study will include but are not limited to food and beverages, cosmetics and personal care, pharmaceuticals, governance and compliance, travel and hospitality, and halal-related services, which may include science and technology.
